近年來，台灣的觀光旅遊業被政府重視，除了最典型的跟團，還有更具個人創意的旅遊玩法，就是可以依照自己的想法規劃行程的『自助旅行』，自助旅行已成為觀光潮流。

台北捷運帶來的快速便利，是國人眾所皆知的；自助旅行的活動都是要事先規劃好的，台灣雖然也有相當多介紹台北旅遊景點的網站跟相關書籍，但是因為語言都是中文，可能讓外國人有看不懂的困擾，故我們的系統語言版本使用英語，目標鎖定於想要來台北自助旅行的英語體系的外國人。
