給XX老師 Hi Dear Teacher/Ms XXX  => 在國外，通常稱呼老師XX小姐/太太/先生，所以這裡就看你平常怎麼叫老師很抱歉這星期四不能去上您的課I am sorry to let you know that I am not able to attend your class this Thursday. 因為要跟家裡的人去金門旅遊Because I am going on a holiday with my family to Kinmen,  所以我想請假I would like to take this day off, if it is possible.  => 我這裡加了一句，if it is possible，中文是如果可能的話，是更為有禮的說法，因為你是要“請求”老師答應讓你請假，不是“告知”老師你要請假的事實。即使大部份的老師不會太為難你，這裡的說法只是強調禮節而已。感謝您的通融Thanks for your understanding. 學生 OO 上 Kind Regards from your studentXXX,
