請問智慧型手機APP的必要性? - 自助旅行

大家好
目前正計畫旅行,
因沒有自助經驗,想請問一下關於APP在旅行中扮演的重要性,
看了文章,網路心得與書,發現許多實用的APP,真的非常精彩,
但自己目前的手機是WM6.5的舊手機,
除了基本功能,上網,簡易字典,SKYPE外,Market幾已沒特別實用的東西了,
考慮到預算限制,猶豫著是否必要換成 IPHONE 或ANDROID 的手機,
請問大家,APP在旅行途中的重要性是否無法缺少呢?
或是能聽聽更多APP幫了大忙的經驗...
就我所知有訂機票,訂房,路線規劃,查附近景點,遊覽介紹等等,
