Etihad航空訂票問題 - 自助旅行

我在 Etihad 航空的官網上訂位並且開票,
電子機票也收到了。

後來又寄來一封電子郵件
內容如下:

Dear Guest,

To ensure a smooth check-in process and avoid being refused carriage, please
remember to present the credit card you used for this booking at check-in. If
you, as the credit card holder, are not travelling, a copy of the credit card
with an authorisation signed by yourself, should be presented at check-in.
Alternatively, the credit card or a copy of the credit card with your signed
authorisation can be presented at the nearest Etihad Airways ticketing
office, 24 hours before the flight.

To confirm your acceptance, please click Accept within the next 10 minutes.
However, if you Decline, your booking will be automatically cancelled.

裡面有一個連結要我十分鐘之內按下去,
只是我看到信件已經是隔天了,
連結當然失效了,
請問這個連結的目的是甚麼?
沒有做這個動作會怎麼樣嗎?
