hello~ I just left Tibet last week, and am currently in LiJiang now.
Here's some information for you!

stay: 25~40/bunk (25 @ Lhasa snowland hostel)

transportation: Lhasa to Shiketze 50~55/person
Shiketze to Gyantse 20~25/person

local bus: 1/person mini bus: 2/person (ex: bus # 2XX,3XX)

in Lhasa-bus#106/#109 will go to west bus station, which is the major
long distant bus terminal.
-bus#86/#89 communicate between Lhasa train satation and Potala

(Potala is on the Beijing E. Rd.
along Beijing E. Rd. head east about 5-10 mins, you will meet
"Ba-Jiao-Jie" area)

train ticket: from GuangZhou to Lhasa-- hard sleeping bed upper bunk ~850 RMB
(you can just buy it from the train station, but might need to
wait a couple days. The earliest one we could get was 4 days
latter)

it would be better to buy your return ticket once you arrive Lhasa, otherwise
might be like us were stuck in Lhasa for a couple days again >"<

if you wanna take a bus out, from Lhasa to ChengDu is 500 /person. It will
take about 3 days, and the bus condition is pretty bad !!!

one day tour to Nanmutzu: 120~160 / person
tour to Mt. Evanst: ~1800/person

eating in China almost costs nothing, as long as your stomach can bare the
local food.

about the Tibet permit: we didn't be checked when we bought our train ticket
in GoungZhou nor in Lhasa,Shiketze or Gyantse,
even though I already spent 1480 NTD to apply one in
Taiwan @@
